streaming video help!

hi all, need your guidance..
i am setting a client's 'short film' site, and know little' about streaming video. can i simply embed a 137MB .mov file to a html/asp ....or i should use any FREE software to further compressed it? or to purchase quicktime pro in order to do it?
any info would be great..

use sorenson to compress it to a mpeg4 quicktime movie...
everything over 10-15mb should be avoided.... even for large bandwidth users...

yeah anything over 10 MBs I mean you are pushing it. You can't do that to someone man. Rethink your size or rethink how you want to push that shit.

i've chk sorenson..but it's ex!!.. i hv no budget :P ..this client is willing to pay less than 500!
any other way i can do it?
