What would you recommend as the easiest cheapest way to capture analog audio (Tapes or LPs) to digital for CDs? BTW, I have an older Mac G4.

well, you will need to capture it with analog equipment and then digitalize that analog sound so-to-speak. Know what I mean? Unless you mean you have let's say Analog recordings on tape or vinyl and then want to transfer them over. if that's the case you can easily use most Audio Editors such as Sound Forge or even Cool Edit, etc. They will capture your analog feed into your computer and then you can burn.

right like your post, you have some software that enables you to import from a source such as a DAT or Record Player for recording the data onto your HD.

yeah or use hardware like i2k said. This will also work, bottomline is that you want to get your data from one source to your HD.

Yeah, I already have it on analog sources such as tapes. I'm also trying not to spend any money on more software.
I haven't finished reading it yet but one article says you can capture it in Imovie 3.
I can't remember the name of this app but I remember seeing ads of a low cost app to capture LPs and tapes somewhere.
Thanks for the info. If I ever want to shell out the $ in the near future I will try those apps mentioned.
