I am designing a set of icons that must have a male and female figure in them. Is it appropriate to have the male designated by suit and pants and the female in suit w/skirt? Ideas, thoughts?

yeah, I dont forsee any problem with that.
Altho whats not appropriate is to use a free clipart as your logo on your portfolio site.

Well, what kind of answer did you expect?
"No, you darned anti-feminist. Women could very well be wearing suits as well, so damn you if you categorize women as slutty nurses and men as successful businessmen"
I really don't see the problem.

Meok equals high standards. If you mess with him in way of clip-art designs and/or involving his mother - he snaps.
But once you get to know him, you'll learn to love him.
And his mother.
