i'm contemplating going back to self employment for the sake of traveling. should i give up my nice steady paycheck? i remember how time consuming self employment was...

Really now, Being a hobo has never been easier. So many soup kitchens, hotel lobbies, hand-outs, and free wireless access...it's a dream come true!
Why not do both? Be a corporate whore and freelance in the freetime

trouble is that by being a corporate whore, there usually IS little free time.
I say if you can swing it, freelance. Nothing like taking your lunch when you want to, working at night if you feel like it, and blasting your own music as loud as you want.

if it weren't for freelance, i wouldn't have gotten 6 weeks for a cross country road trip this past summer.
probably wouldn't have had the last 2 weeks off either.
