i've been using MAC OSX for a while and have just started using a PC again.
For the love of god how do you make a program sit in the bottom right of you screen with the other little icons when it is open.
I have media player open (listening to beats). but i don't want the program panel sitting at the bottom of my screen taking up room... i want to put the icon in the bottom right of the screen with the other icons. So i basically know it's running in the background.
I know it lame but someone please holla the way to do it.
thanks

Windows doesn't work like that. Some programs go to the lower right when you close them (AIM, kazaa) I don't use winamp, but it might have that feature.

ok.... so some programs have it as a featire.... Windows Media Player not being one of them.
aww. :(
So i have to have this fat icon at sitting in my taskbar?

Not all programs have the option
I do not think media player has it. I don't use it much. For winamp just click the little hourglass in the top lefthand corner of the app, then in general preferences click the "system tray" button.

winamp is a better player if you are interested. :)

i used to use winamp... why is it better anyway?

you can right click on the taskbar and go to options then select auto hide, it will hide the entire bar

I dunno if better is the right word :/ It really is a matter of preference. I find it to play things like streams a little bit smoother, playlists are nicer, and it crashes less than win media on my dell.

It also seems to use significantly less memory on my machine, than win media.

memory point is a good one..
I'll try the ol winamp
