does anyone know of any good pottery/crafts sites? Like a ceramics portfolio site that's really well done, or something close to that.

I'm sure they sold it at one point :p Hard coming up with good design for the more humble things in life.

heh.. over the holiday that just passed, i worked at pottery barn for 3 days. It wasn't all bad though.. basically just a mindless job where you didn't really have to do anything much... but it really got to me to see all this crap being bought by suburbanites, stuffed into their huge SUV's, and driven to their huge, expensive house that probably looks just like their neighbors house. made me kinda wanna hurl

thanks brundlefly, that's a step away from suburban materialism and towards something to be inspired by :)
im doing a site for my mom's pottery/ceramics portfolio so i was just wondering what's already out there.

yeah that site is very well executed, just remember to keep it about the art and not the site...
simpler is always better, nothing worse than going to an art gallery with orange walls.

put the majority of time into the photos, great shots always speak volumes.

hehe, thanks for the input :)
i just shot all her stuff awhile ago. had to do a couple of shoots but now that im happy with the photos, im playing around with how to present them best. i think im gonna end up masking all of them and putting it on a white background or something.

man, doing a site for your mom is almost as frustrating as doing one for yourself. :)
