ok, i updated to 10.2.8 (from 10.2.6).. i dont know why really.. anyways, it was all working fine, blah blah.. but then i rebooted, still working fine.. blah blah. then i realized i couldnt even visit newstoday because it said it couldnt load the flash plugin, i couldn't start ie because of a shared lib error, and when i tried starting firebird it just crashed. ok, i say, i reboot again, and now.. after it loads everything, right before the login screen, it doesn't do anything.. it just flashes sort of like its about to load the login screen but doesnt. ive tried zapping the pram, fsck -y, verbose, etc etc etc. i can't even open the dvddrive to try booting from a cd (even from open-firmware mode).. so.. anyways. somebody help me ): lkjasdlkjasdlkj

if all else fails, reinstall the system. it will archive all your old files and apps in a folder called old system. i had to do it 3 weeks ago
