the boss doesn't drink... but he thinks that If I need it... or the other fellas need to get high or something that it's okay.
... but only if we need to.
40K / year and now benefits.

Name that company!!!
Sounds great. We used to have a smoke session before lunch often at my old gig.
Don't abuse it is all I can say!
Congrats!

The firm doesn't sound all that serious...
- abizzyman0
so, my nickname at work is 'Ratch' (long story)...
they just updated it to "Down the hatch, Ratch".
this is the best day ever.
- abizzyman0
of course i'm telling you all this in good fun
- we're rather serious, jox... but a sip every now and then is okay I guess.
- brundlefly0
I dunno, I have gone for drinks at lunch and every afternoon I did, I was a zombie for the rest of the day.
It doesn't sound very serious at all.
- abizzyman0
argh... now it I've gone and made it look like our firm sucks.

you had to work today?
- jox0
ah, allright. Phew! :)
I thought it was like "hey guys, boss here. Back from lunch! Here - I brought you some funny pills."

boss = "enabler"
- abizzyman0
nah... nothing like that jox.
one of my fellow employees got me a 'holiday cheer' as i'm not a staunch celebrator of the winter holidays...
... anyway - I scored some nice Scotch... and we've spent the day sampling it.
- brundlefly0

we have two fridges in the kitchen, 1 for lunch the other full of beer.
- brundlefly0
scotch isn't booze, it's art sauce.
16 year old Lagavulin always kicking around

art sauce...have to remember that one.
worked for a scotsman who would join us for lunch and have a pint of guiness with his bacon and eggs. i find nothing wrong with that and have done it myself, although not habitually (tends to wind my afternoon down too quickly).
never got sloshed or anything, but a drink with lunch now and then never hurts - unless your boss is a schmuck. helps if he's european, of course.
