Does anyone know why when I import an 852kb Quicktime Video file into the library in Flash as an embedded video clip, the video then becomes 16259kb?
this video is super low res but it is making my SWF gigantic! is there a way i can compress it better with flash? do i need MX2004?

the problem is when I embed the video into the flash document, it gets freakin huge and makes the swf huge

when you imported it into flash, what quality settings did you use in your import? (nice little handy dialog box pops up when you import video)
just use a lower quality import.
