Can 3d Max generate objects and surfaces based on mathematic functions?

yeah, you can do pretty much anything with MaxScript. I'm sure there is plenty of stuff around. What kinda stuff do you have in mind?

Yes.

most of the default deform modifiers use some kind of mathematical function to do what they do. But you can actually script dynamic models based on functions.

haha, sorry, i've just never done it myself, so i'm not sure, but i've seen people do crazy stuff with maxscript.
I've coded some trippy realtime 3d stuff based on math equations, so if you need help with the theory, i can help you out, but as far as how you do it in max, im not sure.
