confirmation that low-cost iPods will be coming to market from Apple. The new models will come in in both 2GB and 4GB configurations and "carry a very modest price tag".
These new low-end iPods were also expected to come in a variety of colors.AppleTurns also expects a new entry-level iPod to come at MacWorld San Francisco.

You see, i went the other way. One night on Ebay with out thinking i bought the lady a 20Gig and i dont even have one. Now that im playing with it i realize I WANT ONE.
The 20, 30, 40 gig is total overkill for just music but somthing like 2 or 4 gigs is just right. ALthough using it as a fire wire hard drive is a cool idea too.
I heard that apple was going to include a feature into panther called "Home on IPOD" and you just plug your ipod in to any Panther Mac and BAM its like yoru computer on someone elsese machine..

i'd buy one too.. you wouldnt be so scared about losing it or breaking it.
i use a 30gb right now for music AND backing up fonts libraries plus 'in use' work and personal files.
glad i did cos i had to wipe my powerbook the other night!!
