looking for a tool to extract the single frames from a movie. most likely .avi
any good experiences?

PC? Adobe Premiere, Sony Sound Forge or Vegas Video should do it as well. MAC? Maybe something from Avid or also Premiere.

you should go big and just pick up FCP
