the animation of the 'pb' at the start is a bit superfluos I reckon, other than that cool.

my only question is whether the filigree and black letter (which I like) will look dated sooner than you might like

yeah thats what I'm afraid of too to be honest...but I showed him a bunch of illustrations and he loves all the stuff I did for him like that....I think there's life in teh old bird yet!

id go with a clearer font for the body text..
like a large pixel font.. such as verdana.. or not that. i dunno
