Well - people can still buy homes by themselves but that doesn't stop others from hiring a real estate agent.

as is with most in life...you get what you pay for - if people want to pay for shit and try and do it themselves that's fine - because there are plenty of people out there who can't or won't, and will therefore hire me to do it...just like jox says...I could buy plans and all the tools I need to build a house - but I ain't gonna!

I know..I know. It's frustrating though. That article seems irresponsible to me. They do not talk about the challenges (technical or from a brand identity standpoint) of building a website, which even further devalues what we all do.
Educate your clients!! It's so vital.

i agree, however i don't think your average middle-age person or grandma who wants to post pictures of their family gives a rat's ass about branding, they just want some shit interface and THE PICTURES
