but, unfortunately, i don't think i as an employer would give a care about the theme.
i'm not interested in it. the theme, while well designed has no context relationship with your work or the idea of a portfolio.
seems to "personal" to me.
but, again, it is very tight. i like it...just not as a professional portfolio.

the reason for this portfolio is just a showcase. i had another "selling myself" portfolio up before when i was looking for work. i found a job so i decided to do something that was, as you said, personal

its just hard to take you seriously when you have all your work be framed in that varnacular...

I agree about the football theme - it is a bit off the offisde, so to speak. But hey, it's your site.
When your Scotland/England flag insignia first came up I got quite into the idea of a football-theme, if only because there's a lot of retro-80s potential, as well as some useful teamwork/style references.
I'm just not too sure I see the relevance...
