i've just thrown something off my dock by mistake cause that puff of smoke appeared. Im not sure what it was cause i have so many programmes, is there away to find out what it was?

All that's important is this: if you don't remember, it wasn't that important.

Well it seems to me that if you can't remember what it was, you don't use it and don't need it in the dock.

Beat me to it.

who cares... if you find that you keep needing a program and going into the applications folder or w.e... then that was probably it....

i know its a stupid question, but when i saw the thing "poof"!! i looked at my dock and i couldnt see which one it was that i just threw away. It was bugging me thats all. And yeh it must not be that important for me not to remember which one it was.

happens to me now and then - almost always when in pshop.
don't fret...when you need it you'll realise what it is and then you can pull it back in.
its a funny feeling though, seeing that surprise fart and wondering who let it ;)

drag your application folder to the dock and now you have every little thing in there you need or pretend to need.
