3D max reflective

try adding a Raytracer material to the Reflect/Refract properties of the material for wahtever you want to be reflective. Or try adding a flat mirror material to it, though i dunno if its still in the later verions.

thanks, do you kow of any sites that would have that specific tutorial?
I wondered if I would need Brazil to get that kind of realism..

well, it's the lighting in that shot that you posted that provides the realism, not the reflection.
what version on max do you have?

I have 5.
Yeah, lighting and scene setup are what I lack most in max, I can model stuff for Flash, but looking to get more into scene set up and realism.

max5 has built -in Global Illumination so you can do stuff like that out of the box. Look in the help file about how to use it. it's really simple with the default settings, but you gotta tweak it like crazy to get it just right.
