someone got lazy with the titles.
remember rules of attraction, the book and/or movie?
- k770
no?
- mcLeod0
well you should, and while youre at it read everything else by bret easton ellis

I started reading the book but it just turned into a bunch of crap.
That it would materalize on the big screen with James Van Der Beak made my efforts to complete it all the more futile.

somehow i don't feel any outrage. am I just not smart enough to feel the injustice?
- mcLeod0

Rules of Attraction is a great film, and Van Der Beak deserves a second look... He is definitely not Dawson in this movie. Read Ellis, too.

Rules of Attraction was a depressing cliche movie that made no sense. I never read the book... but that doesn't matter. I was disturbed for about a week after I watched it and personally I hate it.
Thats my two cents. $$$
ps. James Van Der Beak is dumb.
pps. Van Der Beak would be a wierd name to have
ppps. I understand your point McLeod, I had the same thought when I saw that trailer!

Van Der Beek = overactor=fool.

i just liked the part of the movie where it shows all of the emotions on that girls face as.. and after she slit her wrists and bled to death. you didnt even have to see herself perice the skin but you could still see the pain. it was so gross and it didnt even show anything.
only liked that part.
