there is no such thing as a dual 450 G3. I use a dual 450 G4 with 1.3gi g ram and besides HUGE files which is always slow- the shit is no slower than PS 5 and up. Pointers:
Dont use your main drive as a scratch disk

are you under 16 megs video?
OSX uses the quartz extreme engine and CS is optimized for it, with 16 meg video or less it can seriously bog you.

thats right brundlefly, since panther all the "OS Rendering" is done by the video card instead of in ram which is why there was a significant speed increase, but probably not for the older macs with less video ram.

go drop the $80 ON A 32 MEG ATI, probably speed up loads of stuff, a 450 G4 has a 8 meg vid card, nothing optimized for OSX is going to run well.
