What is the best resolution to create your photoshop files in for after effects? Im trying to avoid the images from looking crappy if I want to scale them up in size. Just wondering is there a rule of thumb people use when creating PSDs that will be animated in AE

i would at least doubble if its going to be in the frame.

make everthing cinepak compression that allows you to continually rasterize photoshop files

i work at 648x486 square pixels.
then when you're all done drag in to a comp that is 720x486 D1 pixels.
And like murmer said it is good to work big if you are in photoshop.

i like to work 720x540 square pix. then precomp it to render D1. stretching in the render queue sucks. import all photoshop comps, cropped layers also, even though it is the opposite of what its called.

shone,
When I work 648x486 square then drag into a D1 comp it automatically resizes to D1 pixels with having to stretch in the render queue.
If you precomp a 720x540 to D1 won't you have to size it down?
