Ya I am a little pissed off at my freelancing job.
Chasing clients for money, and content...
Always searching for new clients. Never sleeping. Work work work. Not making anywhere near enough to even pay myself properly... Etc...Often I think back to the good old days where I could just go to my job sit at my desk, and surf the web, chat to my friends, and post on news groups much like this one... When asked by my boss what I was working on I would tell them "R&D" .. And they would nod "knowingly" and scamper off to bother the next person ... Never forgetting to sign my cheque at the end of every two weeks. I would whine and complain to anyone who would listen about how much I hated my job. I would dream of the glorious world of freelance contracting... Man those were the days...

i would rather give freelancing a go and say i tried than being stuck here getting frustrated all the time y'know.
there's nothing worse than having a bad day and then taking all the frustration home with you - i don't think it's good for your health...

you say that now nev...but if you've never done freelancing alone before it can be just as stressful.
there's nothing worse than not knowing how you are gonna pay your rent/carnote/bills because no clients have come in or haven't paid up.

you guys are lucky that your'e doin work you semi-wanna do anyway. I am working a crap job to pay the rent and trying to paint/illustrate in my spare time.
I have just started to get my ass in gear creatively after some dark years at art college, and playing catch -up.so don't be moaning too much, you're alright.

don't burn any bridges when you leave.... after a few months on freelance you may want to come screaming back
