Do you all offer your clients pre-made site traffic analysis programs?
I've been making my own using MySQL but suddenly I feel like there may be no need to reinvent the wheel.
Thoughts?

reinvigorate is pretty good software when it works
- JamesEngage0
it's usually just the referrers bit that is a tad sticky

hmmm... stats are hosted on their server?
- JamesEngage0
and your problem is? unless you're thinking of charging for a inferior service, with a lot of sweat.
- phirschybar0
My problem is that, if I had access to the data, I could display extra stats and cut them up the way my picky clients want...
ANyone know of databased alternatives or any others vouch for re_invigorate?
:)

re-invigorate doesnt allow for tracking individual pages in a site. Also doesnt help with analyzing KB transferred.

Download the raw log files from your server and run them through webtrends.
Its a pretty big standard for many corporate clients.

Webtrends log analyzer that is.
- phirschybar0
anything a BIT less expensive than webtrends but we're getting closer to the goal. :)

MT's service comes with a pretty comprehensive system, at least for my concerns. No work, and it's there already.
What is the advantage to additional software?
- phirschybar0
well... my clients need to do a pretty in-depth analysis of traffic. Mainly looking at click-throughs, entry and exit pages, and specific page hits.
No need for additional software. I just want them to be able to access a stats page that isnt cluttered with non-related junk

That's all on the MT site info, in a rather nice presenation.
My clients aren't that picky, though, and are usually quite happy just knowing the hits.

Anyone hear of this open-source project:

Seems like a good solution for building a custom stats interface.
