When I save web optimized images I get problems such as my filenames being cut down to a certain size (usually 27), and it puts hyphens where there are supposed to be spaces. Please help, I've been through all the Output Settings, and if there's anything there I must have missed it O_o
Anyways, cheers.

I believe thats there for your own good mate. File's with spaces cause problems - fact. Some servers don't like long file name, can cause problems. Its a web precautionary step. My opinion is you should never ever use spaces in file names that are going to be transferred over the net.

You can get it to do all sorts of things... Search for 'unwanted' in the PV-AN for info in a previous topic about this (last week).

i started that topic, heh
helpful adivce, although nothing about it limiting the filenames to 27 characters, any help would be greatly appreciated. if the option is in output settings, i apologize, i just can't find it anywhere O_o
cheers

If you have ticked OS9 compatibility it will limit to 31 characters (27+ext).
If you have 'hide file extensions' selected, it might be a good idea to switch back on...

plus - 27 characters is more than enough anyway!!
- rasko40
26 characters is enough to supply the entire english language so 27 should be enough for your images heheh
abbreviate!
- bug0
yea, why do you need such long file names anyway?
- Shardz0
I JUST DO OK1?!1

you should just stop trying to fight the power and make your filenames something a little less obnoxious. abbreviating is your friend.
