Some Ideas:
try tilting his head - maybe at a 3/4 view, and tilt it a bit down.
And maybe replace the ear thingys with massive headphones (but that might suggest DJ instead of recording studio)

I guess you should leave the ones you did behind and start something new from a sketch.it won't hurt and you'll probably find a good one in a second.

i would like to suggest you to start all over because the things you have showed seem to be more appropriate as illustrations for some article about record companies than a logo.did mcdonald's use the stupid clown as their logo? no that f**k loiters everywhere but they still use their mile-high M-s.
you are tring to pack way too much information in one small piece (as it has already been said, think 1"x1"). take one element of samurai-culture, stylize it waaaay down and at a small something that says record studio and voila. think throwing stars that look like tapes or something (i know it's way ninja but still).

the logo is for a recording studio called headgear recordibg studio and yes its a idea that trys way to hard that was the challenge to see if it could werk i will post my other ideas and soljutions later tonight if i get that much werk done // thnxs for the input:

I don't think that you even let us know that the studio name was until yer last post here...it all sorta makes sense ...headgear...but still not working.
and i still think you should just start fresh, this idea is consuming you, step back, approach from a diff angle.

Is it a japanese music label, with a military-authoritarian stance?
what's their sound? the fact that they're called "headgear" doesn't necessarily mean you should combine music with a ..um.. head. which appears to be the route you've taken.
