V2 was better. with so much negative/blank space, you're going to lose a lot of detail if this gets reduced.
another good test it to try faxing it to yourself or a friend to see the degradation in detail.

still too busy. you have about six logos in one here... too decorative... logos are supposed do convey a concept in a very abstract way. what's the company?

id go with 2... or in that DIRECTION..

they all are cool in their own right, but I would loose detail, and go for minimal shapes and create strong lines and negative space..
such as napsters logo...all three of these are way to busy.

your trying to convey too much in one image, remember, its a logo not a heiroglyph.
maybe you should just think about using the helmet shape with the guiter, or just have half the image and really simplify it to its rawest elements... you're trying to be too clever and the message is lost.
start to look at the most powerul logos you know and why they are so omnipotent.

It should look good on a billboard all the way down to an embroidery smaller than 1" x whatever...
