I have always wondered, aren't the first two people just take modelling and fashion photos and trace over them? Is that legit? They are very sexy no matter where they came from.

good point, you probably would have to be some sort of superhuman to be able to do the whole process yourself (get a studio, get a model, get a camera, photo the model, trace and vectorize the model, etc...)
But, I think they should at least give some credit to the photographer.
If they really do own the photos they vectorize, than holy shit they are wonderful people!!!

that juniatwork link sez some of that was drawn in flash...
is that true?!? I would have thought such control over gradients and beziers would be impossible or extremely difficult in flash.
