Just started a new job and the Xmas party is next week. My girlfriend's allowed to go but it means she also has to do the Secret Santa. How fucked is that? I don't even know the people yet and she's never met them. What's the point?

Partners were allowed where I work but there was a $80 charge for them... what sorta crap is that. I paid cause I didn't want to go without my wife/best friend.
