Where do you start to build a message board? I want one for a site I'm doing and have never done one before. HTML not Flash.

you download it, find the readme files and upload it to your server and follow the instructions.

or check to see if you host is running on cpanel. if you you can probably install a phpbb or invision board with a single click.
