if you are one of the many people who unexpectedly get redirected to a site when trying to go to google, yahoo, etc. and have tried adaware, spybot and/or norton with no success, try this method:
in explorer, go to C:WINDOWSHelp and find a file called 'hosts' open it in notepad and delete all lines except for the one with your localhost address (127.0.0.1).
save the file and reboot. you should be googling again in no time.

Actually, there's a good chance there's more to it than that. That virus hacks your registry some. I had it a couple months ago.

it depends, there are tons of redirect hijackers out there. this solution worked for me.
plus norton and adaware ususally find registry hacks
it worked for me, so there's a good chance it will work for others as well.
