brilliant film, totally amazing
but why do they have to change the name? for the american audience?
now called 'Triplets of Belleville'

it's in ENGLISH?
All i saw were french posters in montreal ... and the song is pretty cool too (from a guy named 'M' ... not that i understand the words or anything)
this i've gotta see ... in english

Yeah I am gonna see this, the art is gorgeous.

i have seen it on a filmfestival over 3 months ago, it was called 'Triplets of Belleville' as well back then. The spoken word, which was hardly there, was in Flemish (Beglian Dutch) and a bit in French.
It's an amazing movie. The mixture of 3d-FX and sketchy drawings is phenomenal..
but first and foremost the story and characters are very much worth the money..
especially 'zee french maffia in zee ztretched 2cv's'
great flick!

Great movie, too short though.

I saw this thing last night. It was horrible.
The only part I found amusing is when they travel to Belleville aka.Amerika and encounter a land of the obese- an obese statue of liberty, an agressive obese boyscout, obese pedestrians, and corrupt mafiosos. The frogs are so predictible. Bah, should have seen the Fog of War instead.

Do I smell a patriotic who's clearly not amused by the way they put down American culture in a pretty funny innocent way?
I cannot believe how you can call this animation 'horrible'..
that's quite a word to use there, my friend.
- tripleflux0
I'm sure you do smell. I disliked it for many reasons...the plot sucked, I stopped enjoying the style after 10 mintues, the jokes were lame and overused, the characters were boring and one-sided. The begining and end animations were cool but didn't make up for the rest of the suck.
For your patriot crack...it did irk me that the movie had very little passion, and all they could muster is that americans are big, fat, stupid, and corrupt...and that french villagers are pious genuine people.
The worst part of it all was the repetitive dull humor. Watching that dog walk up a flight of stairs and bark 50 times didn't do it for me, and I'm patient.

it was actually the French maffia who were the 'evil' ones... soo..
anyway, I think it is just not your genre of film; I enjoyed every bit of it.
it is not: 'horrible'..
in any way.
