Its a fuckin dustbin, he hasn't cleaned it for over a year and we had to push it 3 times :(
The coastal roads around Oman are amazing tho. Straight out of a James Bond film.

haha expensive sunglasses, I couldn't actually afford the cheapest pair in the supermarket and had to borrow some from my boss. It was pretty strange yeah, but arabs (contrary to popular belief) are amazingly friendly welcoming people who don't seem to have problems with 'whities' visiting their country.

we drove up from Dubai through the Omanie border and camped at the Musandam. Was an amazing trip. Totally unique part of the world.

The Omanie locals have a really strange custom when they meet, they seem to rub noses while they make kissing noises. Really funny. Can you imagine Western folk doing that when they meet?

My friend (lady) travelled through there on her own this summer. She was teaching English and that. She said the same about the Arab people being the most friendly and respectful people she had ever met. I was soo jealous and cant wait until I can go.
I asked her if the families she was staying with were peeved that she was earning so much money etc. and she explained how that kind of petty shit didnt come into it at all. And we compared it to some western countries where immigrant workers recieve so much racism etc when working or having money.
respect

Yup, the locals in Oman don't really seem to care for material possessions and wealth etc. The wee kids in the first picture were holding their hands out when we arrived (We thought they were looking for cash) In actual fact they just wanted to see if we had stuff to play with like toys and balls etc. Totally cool.
