don't forget to climb the MartiniTower (church tower in the center of Groningen).
nice view over the whole city and its surroundings!

drink some Hooghoudt and visit the amazing museum. it's worth it.
i have been to Groningen only once, to an exhibition opening in the museum..
for a Dutch person like me (i lived in the far southwest tip of NL, while Groningen is way up north(east)) it's like the other side of the world. over 400 km.
for Americans it is prolly chickenshit, but for the Dutch it equals travelling from LA to NY.. :)
(at least for me, hehe)

Once had a girlfriend there. Traveled the way from amsterdam to grngn. I did not found here attractive anymore. She wanted to sleep with me. I was not horny enough. She had a water bed. Did not sleep the whole night.
Did like the scene there.
