im probably one in few who is not really too interested. haven't read the books, saw the first one, hated it (how does "to be continued" not piss you off?). and i haven't seen matrix 3 yet, but i hated the 2nd one, and the first one was entertaining regardless of it ripping everything off.

they should make a death dealer movie, instead.

Love love love love love LOTR.

I loved the 1st Matrix and then I seen the sequals and I'm sorry but I nearly puked! It was awful - the love story between Neo and Trinity - GOD! PUKE!

Star Wars - Attack of the Clones and The Phantom Menace just doesn't do it for me - sorry give me the originals anyday!

Harry Potter - Sorry but FUCK OFF - utter shite!

LOTR is an amazing film and would beat any of the tripe I mentioned above!

Can't wait to see the final chapter!!!

I saw the first Matrix film and liked it, I then saw the second installment and all that was great about the first movie was destroyed by the second.

What a big pile of shite, the idea of Zion being an underground resistance, and depicted by a cave full of sweaty raver types expressing their freedom through dance, how obviously cheesy, and like said in an earlier post, far too many agent Smiths, and over use of bullet time, I have no interest in how the story ends.

Ok I guess I'm the opposition here. I like fantasy, I like lord of the rings, and I love old school P. Jackson stuff. But to a point I have to agree with the editorial. LOTR is tired. It's spent, over marketed, and we've known the story for years, its in no way new and unique. And a swift as AI engine shouldn't make a plot any more enjoyable. Yeah, I appreciated it as a technical feat of excellence, but that couldn't make an old story even more attractive. Harry Potter and the Matrix on the other hand, were fresh ideas, we really had no clue what was coming in M2 and M3, unless you were a sap reading all the leaked stories on the interweb. Not to mention, the matrix became so much more than bullet timing, in fact it seemed to not come back much at all in the second and third. And we were introduced into an entirely new civilization, not something we've played with in D and D for decades. Something fresh, at least in my eyes - this is not something LOTR offered me. There was nothing new that I could see after compiling several aged fantasy flicks and a d20 with an AD&D 2nd edition ;) That's what makes it dreary. IMHO, of course.
