New PowerBook Screen Problem

Hmmm I've only noticed this today and can't figure out if its new or if i've only seen it now - I seem to have three really subtle white blotches in a half diamond shape in the middle of my month old 15" Al. PowerBook..
Anyone have something similar? I wish I'd never notice this - If I have to send it back god knows how long it'll be gone for over christmas and i really can't be doing without it.. Argghhhh...

dead pixels? if so you'll have to wait till you have like ten of em before apple will replace the screen.

No this problem is already documented. If you call apple care i think they will ship you ither a new Powerbook or get a new screen installed on there coin. Call apple care, its a real problem and from what i have read they havent figured it out yet but they will help you.

no not dead - just really subtly blotches - bout 1cm to 1.5cm in diameter- in a perfect diamond formation about 6 cm apart - fuk just noticed another blotch on the other side about 1/4 across the screen from the left.. same size.. really subtle but now i've seen them.. you know the way..

i wouldn't count on the new powerbook... when i sent mine in for screen problems they just replaced the screen....

they said they'd fix them in 3 business days.

Im tellin ya. I now the problem your talking about and they will at least replace the screen. Call and look it up. Ill post some links to news articles about it if you want.

Oh it'll be fixed - over €3000 for a computer - theres no excuse why it shouldn't be as perfect back running in a weeks time! (we'll see!)

I have the spots too.
You can download a test image from macfixit.com (lost link) that shows the locations the spots will be in... fits my 3 spots exactly.
