has anyone here ever used or know of a program that will edit Multiple lines of HTML or a text file AT ONCE
I worked with a guy that used a program and i cannot for the life of me remember what it was.
it was really sweet all you do is type and it will type the exact same thing on say 3 lines.
works GREAT for HTML code.
The program was for windoz but i would like to find something like it for Mac OS X if possible or i guess i can use my windows box if i have to,
thanks

You find yourself needing to type the same thing on three ajoining lines very often?
Sounds useless to me.

well actually i have about 600 lines that need a comma in the exact same place, and due to the content of the file i cant do a search and replace to add the comma there
so having the ability to select 600 lines and add a comma to each line all at once is pretty valuable

A hex editor might do the trick. If you can't find one on the Mac, look for a Unix/Linux version; it'll work on OSX.
I'm pretty sure XEmacs (Unix) will do it (although that program freaks me out)

Of course, there's always "Find and Replace".
