Ah, I started a thread about this too. I dunno if there is a freeware programme out there but I shall keep me eye on this thread if anyone else has suggestions.

Chisel Set: < $10You won't have the detail of cutting metal type but it's a lot easier.

Sorry chief but I dont think there is any freeware stuff. Get a copy of Fontographer and crack the shit out of it. Its kinda crappy but it works.
Theres no easy way but if you do find something let me know, I dont like using fontographer.

yeah ian i found FontLab, let me see what´s in there...

FontLab looks good but the demo watermarks the bottom half of all the glyphs so youre gonna have to get a real workin version.
