I just got home and clicked on my E: Drive to burn a site for a client for a presentation tomorrow. There was a new folder in one of the folders I had open, it was called xerox. I thought it to be kind of unusual but I deleted it. About 15 minutes later, or should I say, the next time I clicked on the drive it said, drive is not formatted, would you like to format it now, I clicked no. I restarted hoping for the best. nope.
What's up with my drive? Does anyone know, if it's gone I suggest that you never buy a Western Digital HD this would be the second one I lost in 6 months.

Sorry, I gues I didn't ask a question. If it's fucked, what can I do?

Sounds kinda like a virus. Why don't you search up on that on Mcafee or Norton ?

0 viruses found, but didn't search the E: Drive. Any suggestions.

Can someoone give me some help on picking an application that saves your HD then? I can still see it, for some reason it just thinks it's no good now???

Try running some norton drive utilities on the drive such as disk doctor, etc.

that happened to me too, sounds like your drive is fucken.
I downloaded some data retrival software and it got some files back, but they we all named in complete gibberish and lost their extentions.
I feel you pain. what i would do is try the drive on another machine
