I would like to see the tests after a year of usage on a PC, after the registry is completely stuffed full of rubbish, and the average slew of software has been installed and uninstalled.
PC's right out the box are very fast, its the software that cripples them.

and premiere, another great out of date non optimized for OSX application.
where is photoshop, maya, really cpu intensive applications.
not that the quake test was only like 20 fps slower at 287 fps, you really need much faster?

alright, well, i've spent the last 2 days editing video in Final Cut Pro 4 on a G5 (24" [i think] cinema display monitor and a second 20" [i think] cinema display monitor... this thing is sweet) the guy who's letting me use it, who is a successful film director and video editor, left a note for me saying "after you've used the g5 for a bit, shut it down for the night. it tends to crash a lot when it gets hot." the system didn't crash on me (some apps did though) but it's kinda lame having to leave a note like that with a brand new computer. the "most super duper bestest computer in the universe" at that...
