I really need someone with good knowledge/experirence to tell me what the best 19" Flat Panel is for work in PhotoShop, Illustrator, Web Design, Flash, Basic Video Editing.... not to be used for Gaming and 3D work.
thanks in Advance....
PS i was pretty much going to buy the Samsung 191T today, but read a few reviews recently and am not convinced.

cmon fellas you can do better than this

samsung is pretty great.
they are the only company with a zero bad pixel policy, so if you have a bad pixel, you can return it.
NEC, Apple, Lacie etc all have more than 10 bad pixels....
and the screen is crystal clear...

thanks BrundleFly
I'm having second thoughts at the moment between CRT or TFT.
I don't do much print work but do alot of Web work... i just want a good fast, nice sized screen.

ive got a samsung 15" flat panel for my tool bars, its good for that, its quality is lacking, bright, and only 1024x768 max res. i use my viewsonic 19" CRT for work and perfect color. g90fb all the way baby! with both i have a pretty good view. i can change res on the samsung to comply to 800x600 standards and i cans ee how it looks and design at the same time on my 19"
personally, i would never get a tft for work. theyre just not up to par yet. spend you $$ on a very nice CRT and youll be pleasantly surprised, spend the left over on a small TFT for toolbars and such :)
hope i helped

I work off a 17 apple powerbook, and I do lots and lots of print, I have no problems.
have the 19 samsungs on the PC's here, no problems.....once in a while blues might shift in cmyk, but that is a photoshop problem, not a monitor problem.

sheesh.. neck and neck for me at the moment.. I'm starting to think that at this stage a good CRT would probably be the wise desicion.
It's gonna bulk up my desk, but for the sake of better color i think it'll be worth it...
Sad... hopefully one day TFT screens will be on par with color standards and speed for motion graphics and such.
Now i have to find the sweetest CRT 19"-21" on the market...
argh!! i'll be sick of monitors after this.
any more feedback would be muchly appreciated.

If you go CRT go flat. It does make a huge difference and feels bigger.
