time-lapse scanning

  hi

  i want to try time lapse scanning but i would like to know whether you can do this

  basically i want to use photoshop and the twain driver to scan an image every hour or so without me having to initiate each scan.

  has anyone done this??

  any ideas??

  any links??

  maybe applescript.
  or on linux / OSX something with cron job.
  or maybe with a saved action directly from photoshop.

  but i have no idea...so good luck:.-)

  i should have said,

  photoshop 7
  pc

  thanks for suggestion, i will try the photoshop action thing, but i'm at work and my pc/scanner is at home, so i was hoping for ideas before i went back home to try them
