why use a .bmp? kinda odd.
it also takes over your screen with no way of getting back. people might close out and not bother going back.
dont you want people staying and browsing?

Looks like a painting. There's little focus. You're not inviting me to click on anything, nav is hidden in the "painting". Once you get into the site, there's no grid - columns are all over the place.
I'd start cleaning up.
