On Ebay, they have dual 2.0 ghz and a 23' cinema display for 2500 buy it now price.
Absurd. I would have to assume it is a scam.

don't bid on auctions where this is stated at the top. there is another thread on NT where we did some research and discussed this same thing on a new g4 laptop. look it up.

seriously don't do it, I lost $3000 on a 17 inch laptop last spring, same set up...
the preapproved thing is to hook you into direct contact and set up a wire transfer through western union or something outside the ebay regulations, and something like that is untraceable as well, kiss your cash goodbye...I did

contact him, he'll say he was at an auction in rome or some european country, and has a bunch he got off a customs bust or some other BS, I have researched this, this guy isn't on the level, its a hijacked account.
they target sellers accounts with close to perfect feedback, even though its all trinkets and rubbish, this is a good scam its all over the g5 powerbooks and plasma teles...out of control.
at one point I saw there was 22 fake p[owerbooks and only 5 real ones.....stay away, please trust me.

Thanks to a recent PVAN thread on this very subject, I was able to save my friend from throwing 3k away. I could not imaging just tossing $3000.00 -
