Only trick I can come up with is hide your computer for a couple o days so they can't take that away. Seems that without a comp you can't get any work done, so stash it somewhere else until they paid you a visit.

get an old computer.
put the serialnumbersticker of your G4 on it.
Hide the mac.
If they come for your computer give them the old crammer with a smile. Works out for photoequipment , your scanner, printer aswell. Get some old stuff in house.I know where you can get some old shit. If you want my help call me or shoot me an email.
