Where can we get the little calendar and/or lilttle application over it.

what makes you think it's automated? Maybe the user has different wallpapers each day, and all of them have the date highlighted?

the little app above the calendat is winamp. with a skin - you can see winamp in the taskbar

yeah pretty cool calendar, you have to play a lil' bit in the options to set it right.
useless at home, useful at work!
by the way the new Thunderbird e-mail client from Mozilla is top notch!

Try Samurize instead, www.samurize.com here you custumize and layout everything by yourself. Right now my desktop is showing everthing from calender, mailboxes, weather reports, tv guides etc. Macintosh owners will sell their imucs for this program.
