I want to make a holiday print for friends and family this xmas. it's 10 x 14. screen printed with 4 colors. i did this doodle of a bird and wanted to use it, but not sure if it looks too depressing, or maybe its humorous. im not feeling the xmas spirit yet.

I think its perfectly fine for xmas. if you lose the bird and maybe darken the sky, (would brighten the lights) - maye gold, green and red.

an a slight diversion: i'm wanting to do some screenprinting, but don't have access to all the stuff i did back in school... any suggesting for rigging up a mini-studio in my basement?

they have aluminum frames so they dont warp. i bought 2 hinges and 2 C-clamps at the hardware store. i drilled the hinges to a table and use the c-clamps to clamp the screen to the hinges. so you can lift the screens up.. you know what i mean.
i hace texas screen burn my screens, but there are some people here that prepare their own at home. you might do a search. there might be a store in your area that can burn your screens. i get my inks at the local art store. i do a lot of offset printing in town and my reps hook me up with paper.

I guess you could put a santa hat on him - but don't make it red - keep the 'subtle' xmas theme.

thanks for the tips & compliments, bon... i have big dreams for my basement (i'd love to buy a small letterpress!) but figure screenprinting would be more practical for now... my idea is to burn screens here too, but outsourcing that might be an idea in the meantime.
