Lighten up people.
It's just words...

I like that idea. Lets run it up the flagpole and see if anyone salutes it.
- rasko40
lets take it nuclear.. or at least make up some voodoo dolls or kidnap their families or something..

yeah but we all need to be pro active in our hatred of a certain cross-section of individuals who love industry speak.
Could it be possible to intensify our hatred by about 10% to reach market goals?
- rasko40
these fucking wannabees love the sound of their own voice so much, and love getting all wrapped up in the buzzwords so much that they just jibber on with no content, it only fools the weak and imppressionable..
Marketing type toys.
Plain english is what I speak, I use descriptive words not imagined industry elite speak.

I love brief's with phrases like "High end", "WOW factor" and "The next level" in them.
They're so specific.
And written by annoying twats!
- rasko40
I always thought 'high-end' referred to motion graphics/3d when they required really stupidly expensive computers to do the rendering.. more related to equipment than a design state... maybe they're getting confused with 'above the line' now??
they're all cocks anyway these buzz word toss wannabee fuckin media mogul schmoguls.. ;P

Ah, its become clear now.
To client: so what is your interpretation of a hi-end site? Should it be user-centered yet diverse in its approach?
Client: Exactly, diversification is our buzzword but we should also focus on our target demographic.
So what sites are 'hi-end' apart from 2advanced?
- dstlb0
When they say high end I just take that as meaning 'expensive'. Make them happy - charge them more.
- Peter0
bonus point:
ask your client what they mean by high-end
- jox0
but the über-cool ones say "hi-end"
like me. it's my personalized licence plate. "H1-3ND"
- blackspade0

Whats the deal with this phrase today? Everyone is mentioning it and it seems to be, to quote the simpsons, a buzzword that stupid people use to sound intelligent.
Im fired aren't i?
