AppleInsider claims that "reliable" sources have indicated that Apple will be introducing a new 30" High Definition display in November, featuring a new aluminum based display casing.

isn't that just too big? i work on a 23" apple cinema and i can't imagine needing anything bigger. maybe for presentations? in that case i use a projector.

although the extra seven inches only becomes about 3.5 inches wider....so more realestate, but not all that much bigger than the 23

They know people will buy it. Charge $1000's more just for a few inches and a new case.

i would get it if it is wall mountable and has a coaxial hookup so it can be used as a tv as well...otherwise i think its a little overkill...i work on a 20" now and it seems like more than i could ever need...
