uhm ok. i didnt really think it was gay, ive only spent the last week of my life on it. ive never done anything in director 3d before. and im not really finished with it yet. could i get some *positive* criticism maybe?
i was just posting this to see if anyone had problems with the framerate

if you want more elaborate criticism i suggest you describe what it is you want to achieve with it, who your audience is etc. otherwise it's impossible to evaluate it from a different perspective

i would VERY stongly recommend against doing an entire site in shockwave (this seems to be a site menu, correct me if im wrong). Doing an entire site in Flash, in my opinion, is a poor choice, eventhough most people have a Flash plugin. Alot less people have shockwave installed, and it's generally used for games and etc. apps, not webdesign.

doing an entire site in flash is a poor choice, especially when the site done in flash could easily be done with proper xhtml/css design.
the fact that people are dependent on a peice of software, and chose to use it solely because it is considered "cool" is pretty bad.
the majority of flash sites i see have no functional purpose being developed in flash.
it is lack of understanding and skill that leads to improper use of tools and technology.
i agree, doing a website in director is more of problem than one out of flash.
just because you can do it, doesn't mean it's the correct way.

sorry poeple, i completely forgot to explain this.

uhm, yeah this is an interactive cdrom interactive. its a portfolio thats going to be handed out. the website will accompany it. the director aspect is simply for the animation purposes, the interface is flash. the little navigation in the bottom left is simply a test. this is not at all complete. look for a lunch date around dec 20th
is the animation too slow/fast
is the frame rate good?

oh yeah, the site accompaning this will be a flash/xhtml hybrid.
probably loading some dynamic content from my mysql server.
i havent begun designing it yet.
trust me, i know the dangers of an entirely flash site. they SUCK! youll be amazed when im done :)

the frame rate and animation look clean. the only thing that bothered me was the overlay. i didn't really think you needed it, and it was annoying how it slid in, but just dissapeared when going out.
