half of your wages going straight to rent and transport. even milk and bread are more expensive here compared to the rst of the country. + 3£ (~8au$) a pint.

with the exchange rate at 1.65 that's about right. dublin's pretty expensive too. the worste is the cost of accomodation. i used to pay £500 per month for a tiny flatshare with a friend on ladbroke grove.

jaz I still live n London dude! Colorado after the new year.
My wife and I pay £1,200 pcm for a one bed up hampstead way.
lot of money - but it's a wicked area and right by the heath and tube.
Travelling around london is expensive, eating in london is expensive, it's jsut an expensive city...more so than New York.

yea kind of something simlar in dublin, about €600-€700 for 1 bed, double that for a 2 bed..... so i reckon ill be pretty use to the high prices in london...
