first day at work - I need to install osX on a g4 - I would like to format the drive and start fresh...can someone please give me a play-by-play of the most trouble-free way to do this?

remember to install os 9 first, i think it needs to be at least 9.2.
You can't install 9 after you've installed 10.

When you boot up to the OS X install disc, go ahead and go into options for install and choose a clean install. There will be a few options, one will clearly say, THIS REFORMATS YOUR DRIVE. Choose that one and you're well on your way.
